As Financial Manager for JYSK Finland your main responsibilities are improvement and active implementation of business controlling activities as well as development and improvement of administrative procedures. You manage a team of 5 employees and are responsible for financial and administrative functions in Finland including the local Helpdesk. You ensure that employees are motivated and have clearly defined areas of responsibility. You also ensure that the organisation follows the agreed company policies and carries out the JYSK Values.
In addition , you are also responsible for preparation of budgets and internal auditing function. All accounting activities are handled by a shared service center placed in Poland.
You report directly to the Finnish Country Manager with a dotted line to the EVP Finance & IT at the head office of JYSK NORDIC. You are a part of the Country Management Team and act as a proactive and business-oriented sparring partner for the Country Manager as well as the Retail and District Managers. As manager of the finance department you take action and ensure that cost consciousness and business focus always have a high priority. Your office is located in Vantaa. We also expect you to visit the stores from time to time to really understand how the results are being made and how they could be improved from the financial perspective.
As a person , you are driven by being a part of a winning team. You are structured as well as analytic in your way of working. You know how to inspire and motive people to get the best possible results. As a manager it is natural for you to drive a team and create a good business atmosphere with having also a hands-on attitude yourself.
The ideal candidate has a relevant master’s degree within finance and/or economics. You have at least 3 years of practical experience from a similar position in a large international company, preferably in retail or an area closely related to it. You have managerial experience or alternatively experience with project management. Experience with business controlling is also required. You speak and write Finnish and English on a professional level.
