Elisa is looking for a DevOps guru
to join our existing team to bring our development automation and tools to the next level.
Your will be responsible for developing and operating Elisa's developer tooling, automation and hosting environments. We have an existing dedicated DevOps team that you will join. The team is supporting several service development areas and services including popular services such as Elisa Viihde, Elisa Vahti and EpicTV.
You will be collaborating closely with developers, architects, testers, our internal hosting and network engineers. You will listen for the needs of development teams, drive new tools and techniques and assist development teams in adoption of new tools.
The job requires you to be experienced in developer automation having implemented, for example, automated testing, delivery and deployment systems in the past. You will be coding and scripting so previous experience in programming will be key. We require you to have excellent knowledge of Agile methodologies and previous experience in working in an Agile team.
You will be required to work with the following tools, technologies and areas:
- Continuous integration: Jenkins, automated testing environments
- Continuous delivery and deployment: Puppet, Ansible, Docker, OpenStack, Kubernetes
- Developer tooling: Github, SonarQube
- Programming and scripting: Python, Java
- Linux and Unix servers and environments, AWS
You should have at least 3 years of experience in demanding software development roles. Any previous experience in a DevOps role, development automation and/or hosting experience is considered a plus.
You have excellent problem solving skills and you are active in communicating and collaborating with development teams. Several of our employees are non-native Finnish speakers, so you need to be able to work and communicate in English fluently. We expect you to have BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fluid, fast-paced team-oriented environment. We expect you to be highly motivated, have a result-oriented mindset and show initiative in your work. You won't shy away from challenges and communicate openly with your colleagues.
